HISTORY OF JAZZ
Like many genres and styles, Jazz has had its tough and intricate beginnings in the world of music. There are several things that have played in the development of Jazz such as geographic location or the time period. Jazz developed in the early 20th century with a heavy emphasis from African Americans in the New Orleans area, influenced by african rhythms. It is a blend of several different types of music like blues and ragtime.

Some key figures during the jazz movement include Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, and Bille Holiday.
