Her father was an aeronautical engineer and her mother was an opera singer and a voice coach. She had two siblings an older brother and sister, Morgan and Alison. At a young age, her mother could tell she had singing talents like her and ending up giving her singing lessons. Mariah can sing within five octaves. After she graduated from her High school, Harborfields she ended up moving to Manhattan where she worked and focused on her music.
