Techno Music became another creation for the City. We explore how techno music was created in Detroit in the late 80s and how it has evolved since the 80s.

Starting in Detroit, Michigan in the 1980s, The creators of Detroit techno were called the Belleville Three. Belleville Three members were Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, and Derrick May. They started mixing electronic tracks in their basement.

In the 80s, DJs used their hands to mix tracks and stretch the music to make certain sounds. As DJ sets are being changed and improved, DJs can mix tracks faster and more smoothly than in the 80s. Also, we can see that as the dance style changes, so makes the music.
