This performance was a beautiful demonstration of good music bringing the black community together. Everyone’s voices supported each other’s to create a rich, soul-touching sound. The Spelman Glee Club had outstanding vocal chemistry and precision with their pronunciation, and Morehouse surprised me with their clear voices and fluency with the syncopated rhythms of the hymns. The entire performance was truly impressive and satisfying to experience, and it’s more than clear that everyone put a lot of hard work into perfecting their craft and that is truly admirable!
