The Survey of African American Music Class was treated to an extraordinary performance featuring the Spelman Glee Club and Morehouse College Glee Club, joined by the Tabernacle Choir. The expansive stage hosted approximately 400 participants, with Spelman Glee Club members donning elegant black gowns and pearls, while the Morehouse Glee Club sported stylish suit jackets. The groups seamlessly alternated between solo performances and ensemble pieces, showcasing impeccable pitch, harmonious blending, and crystal-clear diction. The rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “What a Wonderful World,” performed collaboratively, left a lasting impression with its timeless charm. The collective magnificence of each song, coupled with the meticulous attention to detail, made for a truly spectacular experience.
