Disco
Disco originated in the 1970’s during the civil rights movement. New York City was the hottest spot to catch a disco party. It was a mixture of soul, funk, and had some latin sounds. It was the hippy era, with the afros, mixture of colors, and when the gay population were able to express themselves more. Known as the “Free Love” era and drugs were used heavily. But disco music brought everyone together partying all night.
