Who Am I?

Hello! My name is Nadia Oakley and I am a Sophomore, Sociology Major on the Pre law track from New York City. I have been studying music since forever. Since I was raised in the church, I constantly was exposed to different varieties of music as well as the instruments that go along with it. By the time I went to middle school, I had auditioned for a performing arts middle school where I became a vocal major. I decided to continue on this path when I auditioned again to go to a performing arts high school and remained a vocal major. There, I was exposed to Jazz, Classical, Opera, Musical theatre, German and French Arias, as well as participating in master classes to prepare for the presentation of our solo repertoire.  One of my greatest exposures to music was when I was casted as the Countess in the Opera “Le Nozze Di Figaro”. This opera challenged me because we had to put on a whole opera and learn all the repertoire as well as running a dress rehearsal. While I do love and appreciate Music, I have decided to go to law school and become a Civil Rights attorney.
