The Birth of Techno

Techno was born in the Motown city of Detroit, Michigan in the 1980s. By the middle of the 90s, the genre of music became more diverse leading to many different styles of Techno music.  Techno is a blend of electric Jazz, Funk and Chicago house music. Three native Black men were the founders of this particular genre of music, which paved the way for the music we enjoy today. These three men went by the name of “Belleville Three”, Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson. 

The Masterminds Behind Techno

These three men do not fully understand how amazing their creation truly was. Techno became a worldwide influencer jumping from nation to nation at the start in a club in a basement below.
