The Power Behind Hip Hop

The Power Behind Hip Hop

Hip Hop is one of the biggest genres of the decade. Hip Hop began rising back in the 70s. There are a multitude of components in Hip Hop including but not limited to: rapping, dj-ing, emceeing. They are all parts that make Hip hop what it is today. Even though the message in rap has evolved the power has remained the same.

Hip hop was sometimes used to express how artists felt about political issues, gang wars, and life struggles. Hip hop’s message has developed into having fun, partying, drinking, and engaging in drugs. This has also changed the audience’s outlook on life.
