Mr. Thomas A. Dorsey was known for being the father of gospel. He was also known for his influence to other old and young artist.

while in the Jim Crow Era this gospel music gave them hope knowing they can pray to someone.
Honestly, in my opinion Dorsey is not very known for what he brought into our perspective. I believe he should be more recognized because, without him gospel would not be what it is today. Yet he was an amazing man.

Mrs. Sallie Martin was known for her title as the mother of gospel . She was title because of her efforts to make the gernre more popular.

One reason the 20th century black churches were important was because, the blacks needed some type of hope. These churches they gave them something better than what was give to them. It gave them spirit
In my opinion , I liked her determination to make the genre more popular. Like Dorsey, she was also not as known in todays age but still left a impact.

The great Migration was a big part of history. I think this gospel music was another reason for hope. The Migration gave gospel a more popular out come.
She is a wonderful influencer in my opinion. Like many others she was not as recognized in time. Yet she still is a great influence.
