WHITE PEOPLE GETTING THE CREDIT

LET'S GO WAY BACK TO THE 1800s, where music was barely recognized (by certain people). Furthermore, if white people didn't care if music existed, the definitely did not listen to black music. However, they decided to pay the black artist off just to get their hands on their music and use for themselves.

HE WAS A KNOWN RAGTIME ARTIST THAT SOLD SOME OF HIS MUSIC TO WHITE PEOPLE THAT TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HIM. SADLY, HE DID NOT GET FROM GIVING HIS AWAY WHICH LED TO HIM STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY.

LET'S TAKE IT TO JAZZ

WE ARE NOW IN THE JAZZ ERA AND WHITE PEOPLE ARE NOT PLEASED WITH BLACK ARTIST IN THE JAZZ INDUSTRY. WHITES STARTED TO PLAGIARIZE BLACK JAZZ MUSIC, AND PERFORM THEIR EXACT SAME SONGS. WHICH IS WHY BLACK PEOPLE WASN'T MAKING ANY PROFIT FROM THEIR OWN MUSIC. PEOPLE DID NOT CARE THAT MUSIC WAS ORIGINATED BY THE BLACK PEOPLE, BUT IF IT WAS A WHITE FACE THEY SAW PERFORMING CROWDS WOULD BE LINED UP FOR THEM WHILE THE MONEY WAS ALSO GOING TO THEM.

FAST FOWARD
WE ARE NOW IN THE 60s, BLACK PEOPLE CAN PERFORM WITH BUT CAN'T BE ACCOMPANIED WITH THEM. HOWEVER, BLACK ARTIST WAS STARTING TO GET A BIGGER AUDIENCE BECAUSE OF THAT.

WHITE PEOPLE NOW WANT TO WORK AND SIGN WITH BLACK PEOPLE.
