Techno Music

Techno Music was created in Detroit, Michigan during the 80s. Techno is a genre of electronic dance music. This particular sound has a repetitive beat, giving the centrtal rythm a common timing. Techno was primarily developeed by Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May and Eddie Fowlkes who all attenede Belleville High.

The techno sound initially came from African American styles such as Chicago house, funk, electric jazz with eurocentric sythesizer based music. This sound is most popular in Europe. This is because of the growth of free party scenes known as raves. Raves are not as popular in the United States as it is in Europe for many reasons.

In the 1990s a member of the techno producers in the UK and Europe built on the Detroit sound bu tother forms of electronic dance were emerging. Others focused on components of preceding dance music forms. There are now many different forms of techno music such as, ambient techno, trance, industrial techno, breakbeat hardcore, gabber, IDM, acid techno, happy hardcore, minimal techno and electronica.

techno music was very popular in the 2000s and 2010s as techno music was being sampled in other genres of music. As well as the theme of the decade revolved around technological inn ovations as the world progressed and evolved. The visual that comes with techno simply supported the overall theme of that time.
