Delving into this excerpt I was enlightened on Mario Mims importance he holds in the Hip-Hop industry. Gotti started out as a storyteller and later progressed into a rapper. I became familiar with Yo Gotti’s music in the mid 10’s. Some of his well known songs are “Down in the DM” and “Rack it Up.” I would rate this write up on the higher end of the scale. This was informative and full of valuable information of Mario Mims and his contribution to the hip-hop community.
I thoroughly enjoyed this article. I feel well informed on who André Benjamin and his “why” for his music. Andre wore many different hats in the arts from a rapper all the way down to an actor. He has been extremely influential in music in multiple genres.
While reading this article highlighting Cleo Sol I immediately recognized a distinct bias. I unengaged with the reading not only because of the bias but how dull the reading was. I would've appreciated a neutral tone article to get to know the artist in a general sense.
