My name is Alana Mariah Bufford. I am currently a Junior here at the illustrious Spelman College. I am a psychology major with a minor in sociology on a pre-law track. I am from Atlanta, Georgia. In my spare time I am typically enjoying the company of my friends, biking, at a yoga class, debating, doing a puzzle, watching a scary movie, or just being alone. One of major values is family. I really enjoying being in the company of those I love. Being around my family makes me feel safe and at ease. They truly bring out the best in me. When the time comes, it is my desire to create a big family just so I can host parties and family gatherings. In the future, it is my hope to become a sports and entertainment lawyer. At a young age, I knew that I wanted to be a lawyer, however, it wasn’t until I became a little older until I realized that being in a courtroom day in and day out wasn’t for me. I don’t want to be just a lawyer. I am extremely passionate about kids, but being a teacher in America is not an option. A teacher’s salary cannot support the lifestyle that I want to live. I am not totally sure what career path will allow me to bridge the gap but hopefully I will find out soon.
