Oh Hip Hop, you don’t stop. Since the late 70s you have boomed boxes, graced radios and even today you’ve been played across phones everywhere. Hip hop is the product of Black communities within the United States and other regions that were plagued by poverty, community underdevelopment, and the proliferation of drugs and gang violence in the 1960s and early 1970s. Yet, through the years hip hop has become a culture from graffiti to clothes, DJing, MCing and much more. My poster is an ode to the music we all love so dearly, the fair lady that is hip hop. In this poster I incorporated multiple artist some from today and some of my personal favorites from yesterday. Each artist is intellectual and fierce and that is what hip hop is edgy, gangster, intellectual a genre that has broken boundaries and defies time.
