Sisterhood”

The article discussed how women collaboration in music of legendary Marian Anderson and Florence Price impacted the strength of women today. I am glad I read this article because I had no idea of what women went through within the music industry and how a stage performance could be so important. Reading this article was the first time I had ever heard of both women which shows the lack of knowledge I have been taught over the years. This article shares how black women empowerment has paved the way for other black women. I appreciate both Marian Anderson and Florence Price because they made it possible so that other African descendant women wouldn’t have to depend on the rejection of “white women’s unsisterly role in erecting barriers to black women’s full experience of free womanhood.” I honestly and truly respect both artist for their brave and nobleness during the dark hour of African American Women history.
