Let the Church Say AMEN!
Gospel is a genre of Christian music that can be traced back to the early 17th century. Its roots developed from black oral traditions such as hymns and sacred songs. This genre has a repetition of call and response. Most of the churches relied on hand clapping and foot stomping as rhythmic accompaniment. Most singing was done in a cappella.
