LAST WORDS
Dr. Johnson,
Taking this class for a semester has been such an enjoyable learning experience. Initially, I signed up to fulfill my fine arts credit, but by being here I have gained so much more knowledge about the genres throughout the ages. Prior to taking this class I only had a basic level of knowledge as to how much African American people had influence over the genres, but learning the specifics and depths of those influences has been very empowering. I have a new wealth of knowledge to feed my love of music and because of this course I am able to listen with new ears.
I will take all of the things that you taught us with me for a lifetime, and because of this class, I will never be able to passively listen to music again (much appreciated).
Thank you for making your class a breath of fresh air to my monotonous studies this semester!
