Singing was a way for blacks to earn an income during this time period. Advancement through education is a staple throughout the diaspora. This group sang to earn money to support their education.
The Golden Gate Quartet

Golden Gate Quartet
This group was one of the most successful Jubilee Quartets. Would include vocal sound effects in their songs. Most notably was the golden gate gospel train. This group contained several different members over the years that continued the original members legacy.
