Jazz has more of an upbeat compared to Classical music.
Upbeat is just as important as the downbeat
Jazz is spontaneous and instant swing
You have to practice and learn the instrument which is the most difficult to do
Jazz was not originally called jazz,
It was banned in the Louis Armstrong era
Jazz is widespread
Origin is in West Africa by creating a new music
Music from Africa went to The Caribbean and collided with European culture which is how it evolved
There were many instruments that made the sound of jazz music
Jazz first led to Ragtime
Ragtime flourished in the West side
