Herbie Hancock: Jazz Fusion

I did Herbie Hancock’s album titled Thrust. The album incorporates many elements of jazz fusion. His use of the electric keyboard really popularized his music style. He also incorporates upbeat tempos in his work, with songs like “Butterfly”. Some of the rhythms and drum use sound reminiscent of early funk music that would later be performed by James Brown. He also added interesting sounds that had never been played in jazz before. These electric sounds revolutionized jazz fusion. Some songs on his album also have beats that people can kind of dance and groove to, which also shows that it is jazz fusion.
