Gospel music is a genre of American religion music. Originated in the late 18th century it became most popular in the black household and church’s. Gospel music often compared to Negro Spiritual because of the slow tempo and hardships it talks about but bringing positivity with the Lord. Over the years gospel took a turn in becoming more upbeat, people often say they catch the holy ghost from dancing to the music.
