Good Music, or Get Out Our Dreams, is a record label started in 2004 by American rapper Kanye West. In 2015, West appointed Pusha T as the president of GOOD Music. Since this record has been create, there have been very big names signed, such as: John Legend, Common, Kid Cudi, Mos Def, Big Sean, and Q-Tip.

Terrence LeVarr Thornton, or Pusha T, was born May 13, 1977, in New York City, New York. An American rapper, Thornton was signed to GOOD Music in 2010. In 2015, Kanye West appointed Thornton as the president of Good Music. Under this label, Thornton has had 3 releases.
Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, or Big Sean, was born March 25, 1988 in Santa Monica, California is an American rapper. Anderson signed with GOD Music in 2007 then eventually eventually went onto other records such as Def Jam Records, and Roc Nation. Under this label, Anderson had had 4 releases.
Teyana Taylor, born December 10, 1990, is an American dancer, musician, and actor from Harlem, New York. In 2012, she signed to GOOD Music, and under this label, she has had 2 releases.
Q- Tip, or Jonathan William Davis, was born April 10, 1970 in Queens, New York, is an American producer, rapper, singer and DJ. Davis started out in the game as a Dj then joined the well name group “A Tribe Called Quest” as one of the lead producers. In 2012, Davis signed to GOOD Music.
Hip Hop is described as being an umbrella term for a wide range of music such as: rap, grafiti, break dancing, Dj-ing, using turntables with vinyls, and MC-ing. Hip Hop draws a lot of elements back from previous black generes, specifically from rhythm and blues, funk, and techno. There are a variety of different types of rap, class ic , hardcore, pop, and alternative are a few. Rap refers to usually a MC who “recites rhymed verses over an accompianant created by a DJ or pre-recorded tracks.”, according to Dawn M. Norfleet, phD in Music.
This is definitely one of my favorite post to create. Hip hip is one of the biggest- no- the biggest genre of music today. It’s awesome to talk about people still relevant to this day, and to listen to music still relevant.
Fun fact: Summer of 2018, I was working at Magic Mountain in Southern California, and T. Taylor walks into the food court as we are closing and she asks for a slushie. The machine was off so I told her that it wasn’t available, she gets mad walks away and flips me off.
