Funk

Funk music mixes rhythm and blues , some of soul music. Many instruments are used such as the electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, electric organ. It was invented in the 1960’s. James Brown was known as the father of funk music. George Clinton was known as the king of funk music. Funk developed mainly in the South before moving along the country. It gave people energy and made them want to get up and dance. Making them feel good about themselves and having a good time.
