What's Going on with MARVIN GAYE?

Marvin Gaye also known as the “Prince of Motown” and the “Prince of Soul”. He started his singing career off in church, moved on to his junior high glee club, and in high school started singing with doo-wop vocal groups. Then he formed a vocal quartet with his friends called The Marquees. The group eventually disbanded and Gaye signed to Tri- Phi Records playing drums for Tri Phi releases. Eventually signing with Motown he saught a career as a jazz performer. His song “Stubborn Kind of Fellow” which happened to be his first solo hit No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 8 on the R&B chart. From there, his songs rose further up the charts and he began doing duets and having more solo hits.
