Techno is a form of electronic dance music that emerged from Detroit Michigan in the United States in the 1980s. Techno consists of repetitive instrumental music that is typically used when a DJ is playing a set. The tempo varies between 120 and 150 beats per minute. Techno originated from House and electro music. Techno became relevant when the style resulted from the molding of house music which is typically used in minority environments and electro music. Once techno was founded, it was spread across countries in order to develop technology for those specific countries. Some famous techno songs include: “Children,” “Strings of Life,” “Better off alone,” “Born Slippery,” “Pacific State,” “Odd One Out,” “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff.” Some famous Techno artists include Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Adam Beyer, etc.
