Social Implications
Disco, House, and Techno music can often be associated with gay and minority communities. The emergence of this type of music also built the popularity of DJ’s. Live bands were unable to keep up with the production of disco music, only DJ’s could do so. This music gave people the opportunity and space to be their true authentic selves, without regard for anyone else’s opinion.
