Spelman College and Morehouse College held their annual Homecoming Hip Hip Concert on October 24, 2018 at 7 P.M in Forbes Arena on Morehouse College. The concert lasted about four or five hours with all of the performances. The concert featured Waka Flocka Flame, YFN Lucci, Lil Yachty, Travis Porter, Playboi Carti, and YG, along with other openers.
Each artist performed about one of two songs — except the headliners (Playboi Carti and YG) who performed more songs than the others. A list of songs performed it below:
- Waka Flocka Flame: No Hands and Round of Applause
- YFN Lucci: Everyday We Lit and Talk That Shit
- Lil Yachty: Get Dripped
- Travis Porter: Ayy Ladies, Bring It Back, and Make It Rain
- Playboi Carti: (more than four songs)
- YG: (more than four songs)
My least favorite pieces were the songs performed by YG because I do not listen to his music and I do not like his style of rap. My favorite pieces were the songs performed by Waka Flocka Flame and Travis Porter because they were throwbacks. I listened to their songs in middle school and the beginning of high school so it was very cool for me to see them perform my favorite old songs live.
Overall, the vibes in the arena were really good and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
