There are many reasons in which Gospel may be sung such as for cermonies such as weddings or funerals, for peasure, relgious purposes or simpliy for entertainment.
The story of the Music
Gospel music has a similar harmony to blues and jazz but instead focused on the them of God. It additionally incorporates some songs sung by jubilee quartets, spirituals, hymns as well as shouts. It brings together black hymns with popular music of the given time period. In the Pentecostal church, gospel music is connected to “speaking in tongues” and shouting.
