Hello! My name is Tyler Jennings a sophomore Theater and Performance Major, Music- Vocal Concentration Minor from Albany Georgia. Since coming to Spelman College, I have participated in AUC Shut It Down, a Morehouse College pageant, and am now serving on the executive board for the Spelman College Glee Club. After graduating from Spelman, I want to pursue a MFA in Acting at Columbia University. After obtaining my MFA I plan to stay in the city and ultimately work on Broadway (hopefully with an Equity card). This summer I spent 6 weeks studying the Meisner Acting Technique at the Maggie Flanigan Acting Studio in Manhattan to expand my actor’s training. I am currently working on writing a musical set in 1930s Black Harlem to hopefully be performed on Spelman’s stage in fall of 2019.
