A Review of “Folk: The Beginning”
The article “Folk: The Beginning” by student Alexis Moreland was a very informational article and I enjoyed reading it. The author did a great job at separating certain sections of information pertaining to folk music and everything that has played into the genre being so influential. I particularly enjoyed reading about the instruments that are used in folk music. Since folk began so long ago there was limited supplies and slaves had to use what was available to them such as “Pattin Juba” which is actually using parts of your body as an instrument. Moreover, the article was very organized with multiple sections/titles, videos and a vibrant picture in the beginning which I inserted above. In conclusion, I believe that if anyone needs or wants to gain information about the genre of folk the particular article titled “Folk: The Beginning” would be a great source to turn to.
