In the last year of the first decade of the new millennium, Jay drops the third Blueprint. In the midst of this, he was trying to beat the charges of stabbing his friend Lance Rivera (who had been, allegedly, bootlegging Jay’s records). But also, he still had singles from the album burning: “Anything,” built off another Annie-style beat! With this record, he broke Elvis Presley’s record for most number one albums, It’s not a matter of opinion that JAY-Z was the most dominant rapper of the ’00s. Additionally, songs such as “Umbrella” ft. by Rihanna and “Hard Knock Life” were also hits during these years!

Kanye West born June 8, 1977 started showing his love for the arts at an early age, and he started rapping in the third grade. Kanye West got his big break in the year 2000, when he began to produce for artists on Roc-A-Fella Records, but he was still very persistent on pursuing a solo career as a rapper, so he released his debut album, The College Dropout (2004), but he started to gain much more fame with his later 2000’s albums Late Registration, Graduation, 808 & Heartbreak and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Atlanta, Georgia Native André Lauren Benjamin, famously known as Andre 3000, began performing in his teens with Big Boi as a group called 2 Shades Deep which was eventually changed to Outkast. Andre 3000 helped set the tone for Atlanta’s hip-hop scene. With hot songs like Hey Ya (2003) and Ms. Jackson(2009) it was obvious why Outkast won Best New Artist at the time and put Atlanta on the map. Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and Stankonia are two amazing albums from André and his partner Big Boi.
